According to this plan, the company will invest over $11.32 billion in India by the year 2028. This announcement comes at a time when PM Modi is set to visit Singapore.

CapitaLand has stated that this investment will be directed towards the Renewable Energy and Real Estate sectors in India. Last month, the company also launched a fund to build a Business Park in India. It is anticipated that approximately $530 million will be added to this fund. With this investment, CapitaLand’s global target will exceed $150 billion by 2028. CapitaLand’s CEO, Le Che Ku, mentioned that the company is expanding its portfolio due to favorable investment opportunities in India, prompting the decision to double the investment amount in the next four years.

In the financial year 2024, imports from Singapore reached $21.2 billion, while exports totaled $14.4 billion.
