The Sustainable City - Yiti: Setting a Global Benchmark for Net Zero Living at Cityscape Global 2024

Oman’s Pioneering Green Community Showcases Eco-Leadership in Saudi Arabia

The Sustainable City – Yiti is making headlines at Cityscape Global 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as it highlights its unique model of sustainable living. This ambitious project, known for its net-zero focus, is reinforcing its commitment to a sustainable future, providing a compelling example for eco-friendly communities worldwide.

A Visionary Community Model: Reducing Impact, Enhancing Lives

With environmental, social, and economic sustainability at its core, The Sustainable City – Yiti is designed to reduce its ecological footprint while enriching residents’ quality of life. The city offers residents substantial financial benefits, including zero maintenance fees and potential savings of up to 100% on electricity and 50% on water bills. Beyond its eco-friendly design, the community also includes a comprehensive range of amenities, such as a school, mall, sports facilities, equestrian club, autism center, and abundant green spaces, including car-free clusters and urban farms.

A Global Shift Towards Sustainable Living

Already a recognized leader in sustainable development, The Sustainable City – Yiti has gained attention at major real estate events across Europe and Asia, from Germany and France to India. The swift sell-out of Phase One underscores an accelerating demand for sustainable, high-quality living environments—a trend that reflects changing priorities worldwide as buyers increasingly value eco-conscious communities.

Mahmoud Shehada, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at The Sustainable City – Yiti, expressed enthusiasm about the project’s rising popularity: “Cityscape Global 2024 offers us a fantastic platform to present The Sustainable City – Yiti’s vision. The rapid sell-out of Phase One highlights the growing preference for communities that combine cost savings with a genuine commitment to the environment. We are thrilled to be part of this global shift.”

Building the Middle East’s First Net-Zero Emission City by 2040

The Sustainable City – Yiti, developed by Diamond Developers—a division of SEE Holding—in partnership with Oman Tourism Development Company (OMRAN), is positioned along Oman’s picturesque coast near Muscat. With plans to become the region’s largest operational sustainable community and the first net-zero-emission city globally by 2040, Yiti exemplifies sustainable development across six core pillars: food, energy, water, products, mobility, and waste. Running on renewable energy, the city will feature complete water recycling, full waste diversion from landfills, and 80% self-sufficiency in food production.

Construction and Expansion: Momentum Continues in Phase Two

Currently under construction with an anticipated completion date of 2026, The Sustainable City – Yiti has fully sold out Phase One, while Phase Two continues to attract strong interest. Essential community features, including a sustainable school, are advancing on schedule.

After Cityscape Global, The Sustainable City – Yiti plans to extend its outreach, participating in the Luxury Property Show in Shanghai this December. This appearance will support its strategic entry into the Chinese market, with further international events planned for 2025 to promote sustainable urban living worldwide.

As sustainable developments continue to capture attention globally, The Sustainable City – Yiti stands at the forefront, embodying a vision for communities that harmonize financial, environmental, and lifestyle benefits.
